Folks, we realize that it's been a long while since we posted updates on this website. This is obviously due to us working hard on our upcoming EP (really, really close now...). So, here's a batch of updates that will bring you up to date with what's up:
- We will play at Alcazar/Nalen next Thursday, April 12th
- A video for an edited version of Tokpela EP opener "Open Casket" will appear exclusively in the PS3/Xbox360 game The Darkness, which will be released this spring. Gear up and tune in.
- An interview with Joachim and Alx has been posted at www.nucleusprog.com
- A couple of more reviews of Tokpela EP has been posted right here.

A live date has been added. On Tuesday, December 19th, Closer will play at Debaser (Slussen) supporting Khoma! Doors open at 8 PM, show starts at 9. Get your tickets at Ticnet.se!

The re-recording of that "one-hit-wonder blast from the past" that we mentioned earlier is finally finished! The track is called Occam's Razor and is exclusively available as a free download at It's A Trap! for a one week period, starting from today.
In further news, we're very happy to tell you that we will enter the studio on January 2nd to record a brand new EP! Expect slightly darker currents and a tad more of that erratic stuff. We'll keep you posted on how it progresses.

The Underground Swe show December 13th has been cancelled due to a very unexpected teardown of the stage area at the venue. A new date will most likely be scheduled for January once a proper place has been found.

Yet another fall date has been confirmed. On October 26, we will play at Platens Bar in Linköping with Enter The Hunt, amongst others.

A couple of live dates has been confirmed for the fall, check out the Shows section for details. The Club Mogwai show in Norrköping should be extra cool, and will probably give rise to a weird incestuous vibe, since we'll share the stage with Nifters, featuring our former drummer Jocke Göthberg, and our friends in God Damn Trio.

Some time in August, Closer is heading back into the studio to recreate a one-hit-wonder blast from the past. The song should be online for your pleasure in a month or so. For those of you who watched us perform live this year, you'll recognize it as the song that made you go 'Oh!'.

Closer is one of the featured artists in the 7th edition of Famous for 15 mb. Check it out right here. In other news, the band has been in summer limbo for about a week or so, but we'll enter the rehearsal studio again next week to continue work on some new, exciting material. We'll keep you posted.

Copies of Tokpela EP are now also available at Repulsive Records in Stockholm! Unfortunately, you can't buy it through the website, so you have to haul your flesh and bones to their store on S:t Eriksgatan 84. No worries though, you should like it there.

Closer will play at Fight Club, Stampen in Stockholm on the 6th of June as part of a showcase... thing. Tickets are 60 kr at the door, but you can buy them up front from us directly at a discount price of 50 kr. By doing that, you're not only saving the awesome amount of 10 kr, but also supporting Closer and making sure that we get to play at a larger venue next time.
